These Mallard ducks have the largest breeding range of any duck in North America. They average 2.5-3lbs. The Mallard duck is also the most common type of duck in North America. Mallard ducks like to eat seeds and aquatic plants form swamps and ponds. Mallard ducks are adaptable and have been known to live in urban areas and are even considered an invasive species in New Zealand.

These are trumpeter swans fighting over food. The winner gets the most corn! We can see the Canadian goose in the back sulking, after he got bit in the tail feathers and chased off by the trumpeter swans. Trumpeter swans stand at approximately 4 ft tall and weigh about 20-30 lbs. With a wing span over 7 ft these birds are quite interesting. The male is called a cob and the female is a pen
